free at last

She's free. Free at last, free at last.

Mom passed away this morning.

She caught a mighty bit of pneumonia on Friday and it was too much for her.

My sympathies, Mariarose. Has it been a lonely journey? I bet you will be lonely without your mom and yet relieved her suffering is over.

All my Alzheimer's carer blogging friends are leaving me because their care receivers have died. Thanks for the times you have commented on my blog about my husband's mixed dementia.

Hugs,
Carol

So sorry for your loss...Conflicting times...a release from the terrible disease but the sadness of losing a loved one.

Mariarose,

I'm so sorry for your loss. I also breathe a sigh of relief with you - relief that the difficult journey along side her has ended and that your mother's limitations and illnesses are gone. I hope you are flooded with happy memories, even while you grieve.

Hugs.

And now life changes. I am honored you invited me into your journey. Your mum was so lucky to have such a devoted daughter. Your love shines through your tears. Love always

Take especially good care of yourself right now. Your mom was, indeed, lucky to have you.
